Dr. Monica Bonakdar takes an all-in approach to helping patients achieve the kind of glow that basically requires no-filter posts. While looks are superficial, Dr. Bonakdar’s method is anything but surface-level. For decades, Dr. Bonakdar has demonstrated next-level understanding of skin health and extreme patient empathy, establishing her as an industry authority and all-around boss.
Following academic success at some of the state’s most prestigious universities (Go Bruins!), the SoCal native returned to Orange County to open her private practice. Bonakdar Aesthetics brought a brand new take on cosmetic dermatology, breaking down the complexities of individualized skin care into a tried, true, and tested method that allows every patient to take their ideal look from “filter” to “irl”.
A dedicated proponent of innovations in aesthetic technologies, Dr. Bonakdar serves as a key opinion leader in the Allergan Medical Institute faculty and the industry as a whole. She is passionate about operationalizing complex systems, extending her expertise so that others may master abstract concepts with confidence and precision.

Chelsea Hengstebeck
Registered Nurse
Chelsea comes to Aesthetix LAB with extensive experience in the field of aesthetics. After working for a facial plastic surgeon as a medical assistant for seven years, she decided to pursue a career in nursing and became an Aesthetic Registered Nurse in 2014.
Chelsea's philosophy is aligned with Aesthetix LAB in slowing down the signs of aging and enhancing each individual's natural beauty. Her favorite saying is "Overdone is out, natural beauty is in." She believes in doing full face assessment for facial optimization and balance using Botox, Fillers, and lasers.
Chelsea has a gentle touch and calm demeanor, that is appreciated by her patients. Her goal is for each person to feel safe in her experienced hands, and leave with more confidence than when they arrived.
Lindsey Watkins
Nurse Practioner
Lindsey, a native of Bakersfield, California, graduated from California State University Long Beach with a bachelor’s degree in biology and a minor in chemistry. She continued her education with a master’s in public health and nursing, culminating in her Nurse Practitioner degree from the University of Massachusetts Boston. Lindsey has dedicated 6 years to working in aesthetics as a nurse practitioner. Passionate about enhancing natural beauty and helping others feel better about themselves, she finds great reward in her career.
Outside of work, Lindsey indulges in podcasts, working out and cooking – a passion stemming from her culinary school background. She is also an accomplished aerialist, having performed for large audiences. Lindsey practices in our Dana Point location on Monday and Thursday.
